I have a 3570k clocked at 4.6 GHz. It's been stable (so far) at 1.3v at a manual vcore with the VID at 1.2560v. So what I've read is for offset, you do vcore - VID to get the offset which in my case is .044. So I change my vcore from manual to offset and enter in .045 (it only increase in increments of 0.005 on my motherboard) but I almost immediately get a bsod... I kept playing around with my offset and change it to a .08v offset and am stress testing it right now. So far its doing fine but what confuses me is that the current vcore at this offset is 1.296v while the VID is still at 1.254v.... How does this make sense?

Could someone please explain what is going on with my offset or if I'm misunderstanding it? I've been surfing the web looking for an answer, but I have yet to find one. Probably due to the fact that I'm not too sure what to look up  :(
