Will this work?

Go to solution Solved by Interfectorem,

How much more expensve is the 780TI?

The 780Ti is like about $100 more, not sure, but it's too much money to spend over just 3-5 extra FPS than the 780.

This will be my first Gaming PC Build, I'd like to make sure it goes smoothly.

I'm making a build log, for changes.

Anyways, I'd like to know if the current part I've chosen will work.

(I'd also like to use water cooling, but it seems complex?)

HDD:

WD Black Series WD1003FZEX 1 TB

GPU:

Nvidia GeForce GTX 750 TI

CPU:

Intel Core i7-5820K Haswell-E 6 Core Processor

Motherboard:
Asus X99 Deluxe

RAM:

Crucial Ballistix Sport 8GB (DDR4)

Case:

DIYPC Mirage-D1-W Black/White SECC

CPU Fan/Heatsink:

ARTIC Freezer i11

Power Supply:

Rosewill Green Series RG630-S12

I really hope you're trolling. If you are, stop. If not, then learn some more before you try to build a computer.

Now to shove the Dick side of me away.

Get a 4690K and a Z97 board and some DDR 3 RAM, as X99 is way too expensive and is not worth it for gaming. With that money saved, you can get a MUUUCH better GPU like the R9 290.

I'd like to spend more on a GPU, but the Motherboard and CPU are expensive, and I'd like to have DDR4 RAM.

You don't need the X99 and Haswell - E for gaming. DDR4 will have pretty much no benefit over DDR3. It might even make things worse for gaming.

This is much more balanced. The R9 290 will give you much better gaming performance than the 750Ti, and the X99 platform and that 5820K is completely unnecessary for gaming. I got you a better PSU. I couldn't find the case you mentioned so I didn't throw one into the list.

Alright, but could I get a Nvidia card, instead?

Why? The comparable Nvidia card is the 780, they're almost identical in performance, but the R9 290 is usually cheaper. But if your heart must be content, I can throw in the GTX 780.

Edit: Apparently the GTX 780 EVGA ACX is the same price as the R9 290 Sapphire Vapor-X :P That's what I get for speaking too early. and BTW, sorry I was so rude to you the first reply I made to you.

Nah, it's okay.

So, this would lower price (slightly) and raise gaming power, then?

Games are almost always GPU-bound. This means that unless you're using a £40 CPU, the GPU is going to be what determines your game performance, so try to spend as much on that as possible. As others have said, an i5 is going to be completely fine and DDR4 will at best make no difference whatsoever.

Well, ignore what I said about it being cheaper, because right now the EVGA ACX GTX 780 and the Sapphire Vapor-X R9 290 are the same price. It usually is cheaper, but I guess not anymore. And no, the GTX 780 and R9 290 are pretty much the same performance, although the R9 290 will start to pull ahead in Multi-Monitor setups and resolutions above 1080P.

This is a better performing gaming system. It will give you excellent performance in games at 1080 with high or ultra settings.
