Upgrade Advice

I am currently running an MSI GTX 770 2GB at 1080 gaming. Now Ebay is selling R9 270x and 280x for cheap and I was looking at getting two cards just for fun. 270x I can get for arouund 120$ or less a card and 280x for 170 or less a card. Of the two what would be the better deal? I feel like two 270x for a total of 225$ USD would be a great deal considering I can sell my GTX 770 for 275$. But then again I wonder if I should get the 280X for the larger memory to last me more years down the road. Any thoughts? Btw I really dont need to upgrade but if I were to buy one of these cards what would you suggest.

R9 280x for $170 is a very good price. The 2GB of VRAM will most likely become an issue soon.
