So, it appears the buyer is now claiming the item was stolen off his doorstep. So now i'm out of a 50 dollar headphone amp and 50 dollars? This is ridiculous!

Did you take a picture of the box it was sent in and the product in the box? If you did than that's the buyers fault and you shouldn't have to give him any money back.

Well it was a slightly used product, so it didnt come in a box. Dammit, I packed it all nicely and everything. Even through in priority 2 day. qq

You should be able to rebut that by showing that the package arrived and was accounted for. At that point it's out of your hands.

Too bad I can only contact the buyer and not ebay themselves...

That's what I mean, a picture of the box you sent it in. That's shipping 101 always take pictures of the product so you can prove you sent it properly.

When it is shipped with tracking, it becomes the carrier's responsibility.  They are liable, not you.  If you go online and it says "Delivered"  It is on them.

True. I don't wanna be an asshole by writing the guy back with something like

I'm sorry but it's technically not my wrong doing. Once I drop the package off at the post office, it's in the carrier's hands, especially since it's been delivered and accounted for.

You better fucking write that.  Stick up yourself, the guy is trying to scam you and there are procedures in place for things exactly like this.  There is a special shipment term for it that is a LAW, I am forgetting the name of it right now, but it is the law.  Carrier is liable.

as long as there's a tracking number saying it was delivered, you're pretty much in the clear.

A lot of times the tracking will say "delivery. Left with man" "delivered. Front porch" etc etc, whats it say for the package you sent? If it says it was delivered and left to the buyer you pretty much won the case

to sell on ebay is the wrost. The fees are high and the seller protection is garbage. Plus if there is an issue..you can't even contact ebay via email. You have to call and you have to wait forever. I Myself have been banned for selling. My items was going straight from a warehouse in china to any country in the world. and it just so happens, ebay sent out a announcement saying China is changing a few policys and what not and that will cause delays. Of course my buyers decided to ignore my message of the items being delayed because of chinese postal changes and they left me negative feedback. And during this time i wasn't in the USA, i was in Trinidad and I can't contact them by email and can't call them because that shit would cost alot. SO THEY BANNED ME FROM SELLING FOR LIFE AND THEY NEVER PROTECTED ME AS A SELLER EVEN THOUGH THEIR OWN ANNOUNCEMENT SAYS THEY WILL PROTECT SELLERS FROM NEGATIVE FEEDBACK CAUSED BY THE DELAY.

DEATH TO EBAY.

Sold my Asus G75VW.  The payment was "sent" but it must have been retracted somehow, but that was after I had shipped it.  Tried contacting the seller, they gave me a fake email, and soon after deleted their eBay account.  The best part was eBay said I was SOL because I didn't abide by the "selling contract," which I did, until the payment had been retracted.  I'm still bitter.

You can actually tell the company to not leave it out. YOu should have sent it signed for otherwise they will always blame the seller.

No, you can get something like that removed, just have to discuss it with E-Bay, I assume there's a case on it already?

I roll with sigs off so I have no idea what you're advertising.
