Arma 3 problem!

So I bought and downloaded Arma 3. However, I noticed that pretty much all the servers were running the 1.28 beta build. So I changed in the Steam options to download the beta testing build. It downloades some files(130mb I believe), however when I start the game it still boots to version 1.18!!! What can I do?

MacBook Pro 15' 2018 (Pretty much the only system I use)
