Youtube stopped working

Go to solution Solved by Guest,

It did work eventually, I also had a firmware update waiting. Now it works again.

I don't know what happened but everytime I click on a video it does go to the video page but ther video box is just a black screen and I can't click anywhere else on the page, like it has lagged out or something.

I did the famous ' add an S to HTTP making it HTTPS' but that didn't work either..

Servers feeding your specific country could be acting up, or your Flash crashed. Or maybe it's a cache problem. Try clearing your cache and purging DNS records.

In case the moderators do not ban me as requested, this is a notice that I have left and am not coming back.

What browser are you using? Also, can you go onto www.speedtest.net and test your internet speeds?

Wow, I did this and my internet acts like it was kicked in the balls. It's way slower.

Also Chrome.

What were your speeds?

Normally it's 30MBPS download, now it's 18. Normally it's 5 ping, now it's 500.

That could be part of it. I'd try power cycling (turning off, unplugging for a minute, re plugging in) your modem and router.

Doesn't work, made it worse. 10 MBPS.

Try it again, make sure to turn your modem back on first and then your router.

It's been happening to some videos lately, and it seems a great amount of people are experiencing the same judging by the comments. I had this yesterday, all videos I watched worked perfectly except for two of them which didn't work at all until today. You can try refreshing and try different resolutions each time but that doesn't always work.

Tried a DNS flush or check your hosts file to see that its not blocking anything that is related to youtube?
