unknown dual-core cpu from HP server

I got a cpu from a HP server its about 1-2 years old, but i dont know the name of the cpu. I only know its a dual-core cpu. if you know anything about this CPU especially the socket please let me know.

 surely it will be on the heat spreader? get that crappy compound off and have a read.

Scrape the dried up TIM off of it, an answer you will find.

Scrape off the thermal paste. Usually the CPU name is on the IHS.

clean the tim off, it likely says what it is on the IHS.

if anyone wants to know. its an Intel Xeon E5-2637 DC 3.00Ghz 5MB cache. about $1275,-
