Can the B version be speed controlled with a fan controller? If so, which do you recommend?

The MCP-655 non B does not have a PWN control but it does have a speed switch. The MCP-655B is locked at 4/5 while the non B can go from 1-5. 2 is the sweet spot for me.

So no, you can't change the B's speed at all.

I know all of this.

I'm pretty sure I read somewhere that you can hook a fan controller, as long as it's like 30w to the pump and adjust the speed.

Anyone care to chime in?

Oh. Koolance already straight up has a specific pump controller. Nevermind this post. getting that shit.

You just answered your question.

In reality, pump speed only matters if you have a lot of resistance. No need to keep changing it. Just get the controllable one, set it and leave it. If there was an option to PWN control the B version, then why would anyone pay for the regular one?

lol you can speed control the B version, it's just more of a hassle. The more connections the more possibility of errors. I've had an MCP655-B for several months now and I'm getting tired of bubbles forming in my reservoir, which is why I want to lower the speed.

I'm looking for insight from anyone else who has done it. This forum doesn't have to be JUST questions, it can be discussions.
