I got a major issue here, i was thinking of going for a Haswell build but i found a i7 4820k for about 300bucks and if id get like a haswell i7 i would cost me about 400bucks, wich leads me to be kind of confused if i should go for haswell or the 2011.

Well im majorly a gamer but the thin is that i get more cores by 2011 then haswell wich can help out with other tasks beside gaming.

So basically im asking you guys to help me should i go haswell or 2011.

Thanks in advance!

4790k > 4820k (4820 is only 4 cores btw--same as the 4790k)

Why is Ivy-E cheaper than Haswell?

It's like a major sale on the IVY-E

But i just wonder if its worth going for the IVY-E becasue of ill get the X79 platform instead of the z97?

Well, the 4820k is still worse than the 4790k. So, no.
