So I recently installed some new case fans, and when I turned the computer back on it started installing a windows update. Once windows finally starts I get into skype to find out that my Microphone has become all distorted and static-y. Both my Blue Snowball and webcam are experiencing this distortion. I already tried uninstalling the recent windows updates, but to no avail. I plugged my Blue Snowball into my laptop and it works perfectly on there, but not this computer. I honestly don't know what to do at this point.

So unplugging the fans did nothing as I would assume. It pretty much has to be something to do with that windows update. I going to uninstall every windows update from this month and see if that works.

I've actually seen in the past where cheaper fans can introduce some noise through the connections. Obviously not the case this time.

Super weird!

Doesn't sound like a software issue, you might have created a small short somewhere in your case when you were installing the fans.

Go ahead and rewire your build and make sure nothing is shorting on the case.

So just unplug everything and plug it back in basically?

While checking to see if any vital parts that are in contact with the case.

While your at it you might as well reseat your ram and everything.

OMG I love you. It worked. I reseated the ram, graphics card, and rewired it all and it works! You are a lifesaver.
