So, I recently built my own PC using an MSI 970 GAMING motherboard. I tried putting my Turtle Beach x12's into the 3.5mm jacks but only the mic is working. On the motherboard there are 6 3.5mm jacks; MIC, SS-out, Line-out, CS-out, Line-in, RS-out. I've been using the Line-out jack as that one is supposed to be for headphones, so I've heard.

The headphones aren't broken as I've been using them for my previous PC and my Xbox and they worked fine.

Headphones -> Green port

Microphone -> Pink port

Make sure that your audio drivers are up to date, you can download the latest from the motherboard home page or you can just install it via the disc that came with the motherboard.

Edit:

Try out the front panel I/O, see if you can wield different results from that.

The ports aren't coloured.

Then just search up which one the headphone port is. It should be the middle left port.

It's the Line-out as I stated in the OP

Aha, well than make sure you have up-to-date audio drivers, also head into the Realtek Audio Manager, see if you can configure it up there, or in "Sound" in Windows (just type in Sound and click on the first result under Control Panel).

I've done pretty much everything in both. There's not much you can do in either, really.

I have the usb in and even if the mic was muted, it's getting playback sound is my problem.
