I am looking for some good IEM's to listen to on the go but I don't really know much about them. I have a Beyerdynamic DT 990 Pro that I use with my Schitt Magni and Modi but need something more portable and private. I listen to rock music but I also like to hear some good bass sounds.

Things I am looking for:

  • Sound quality!!! I love listening to good quality music through good quality headphones
  • No active noise cancellation. I don't want a big box on my headphones
  • Preferably under $70 (could be convinced to go up to $100 if i have to)

The only IEM's I can personally vouch for are the Shure SE215's. I love them to death for all around use. It's got decent bass and the overall clarity is great. It comes with three different sizes of foam ear tips which work very well for a good seal.

I'm personally going to probably be switching to something else higher-end though, soon-ish (aiming for either Westone or the Logitech IEM's)

I love my NuForce NE-600X despite the amazingly low price. VSonic's VSD1S is a pretty good neutral pair (and I happen to be selling mine in the Classifieds). The VSD3S should be around your budget if you'd like to have a removable (read, replaceable once broken) cable. JBL's J33 is great for something a tad V-shaped and sometimes goes on pretty nice sales.
