There is no real difference that you will notice.

I can confirm this. The only thing i dislike about MSI is their overaggressive marketing and gimmicky features. But hey, if it inreases sales and leads to better products i can live with that.

Do you have specific motherboards in mind that you would like to compare?

I love he E2200, but only because the Killer Network Manager that comes with it, means I have QoS on the NIC for instances when my router does not. It also allows simple monitoring of things, but it's not something you should actively go for. I have it purely because I own an MSI laptop

Gigabyte GA Z97 SOC

Gigabyte GA Z97 SOC

I do not know of any other difference between the two. Seems like 30$ should be more than just a different NIC and a crossfire support brace.

If thats all the difference then go for the cheaper one. Also may i ask why this specific motherboard? Do you plan on doing 4 way crossfire?

edit: The SOC Force seems to have more chokes which may mean a stronger VRM design however i dont know what sort of a difference this would make overclocking your cpu. I suspect minimal

Thats as good a reason as any, they are pricey though. Just make sure you dont downgrade any other component because of it.

Because it's gonna be my own build i decided to go whit 2x R9 290 from Powercolor and an i7 so i am not going to down grade any other part.

Thanks God Evga has cheap but very good Powersupplys.

(i went for Amd because of the price of 1 gtx 780 ti i can get 2 r9 290)

The app is quite nice and useful if you have many thing downloading and uploading at once. I still prefer the older big food killer cards though.

I would go with Asus, in that way you get Intel nic which is a lot better than killer E2200.

Hardware: Intel I7 4790K 4Ghz | Asus Maximus VII Hero Z97 | Gigabyte 780 Windforce OC | Noctua NH-U12P SE2 | Sandisk Extreme Pro 480GB | Seagate 500Gb 7200Rpm | Phanteks Enthoo Luxe | EVGA Supernova G2 850W | Noctua NF12 | SupremeFX 2014 | Patriot Viper 3 16GB.

Gaming Gear: Cooler Master TK Stealth | Sennheiser PC350SE | Steelseries Rival | LG IPS23L-BN ' 5ms | Philips Brillians 144hz

Is Asus offering any good OC motherboard?

I heard the Saberthoot series is very good.

All of them are good OC motherboards. Is there any perticually color you want in the moterboard?

Red: Asus Maximus vii Hero

Gold: ASUS Z97-PRO

Brownis: Sabertooth z97 mark 1 (with armor) mark 2 (without armor)

All of these higher end motherboards should OC to the limit of the cpu itself. If youre ok with the colors the sabretooth is also a very good option and depending on where you buy it should also have increased warranty.

I probably go for the Gigabyte one, it looks very Cool and will Match my Orange/Blue/Black build.

My last Motherboard was a Gigabyte and i was pretty happy whit it. But i think even if i would go for the Asus versions i wouldn't be dissapointed.

I wish Asus would have some different Colours.

I probably go for the Gigabyte because it's orange and not like the other Motherboards Black,Red or Blue.
