Looks pretty much like a gimmick to me and that they're doing some software tricks to fake it but yeah Displayport

You bought into the 240Hz crap, it's all just a gimmick.

It's only 120Hz output as far as your graphics card is concerned.  DVI and DP will work just as well as one another.

It's not really "240Hz" but it's still 120Hz and a VA panel, which is still pretty respectable if you ask me.  It's a nice monitor.
