Hey guys! I have a few external harddrives for my media mostly, TV shows, music, adobe video backups etc, around 12TB in total. Now, I need some way of mounting these cleanly instead of just stacking them up like this. Now before you say "Just take the drives out and mount them in your PC" I can't do this, as they need to remain quick and portable.

I'm thinking maybe making a makeshift lego/knex system, with a USB hub adapter mounted inside the box and then I just plug the box into my other USB hub. But then there's the problem of powering each drive!

Any thoughts are helpful!

If you want my opinion, make a small NAS. An old intel cpu, couple gigabytes of ram and a gigabit nic, you'll be set. But if you don't want too, go with the lego!

There are 10 types of people in the world: Those who understand binary, and those who don't.

Just some helpful stuff: You're - You are, Your - Your car, They're - They are, Their - Their car, There - Over there.

I know, it'll be a lot faster and more to my needs but unfortunately I don't have a lot of money to play around with at the moment, and we get reamed for tech prices here.

Ahh yes, the common issue haha. In that case, build yourself a little fancy enclosure out of lego.
