Drop the 16 GB ram, you don't need it. 8GB is just fine.

Is there a question? Have you all ready acquired all but the gpu?

80+ ratings certify electrical efficiency. Not quality.

What type of games are you planning to play?

Xcom, MMORPGs, occasionally stuff like bioshock.

What resolution?

1920x1080 i believe is my monitors res

What settings?

Not looking for a hyper settings rig atm just something to get me by on med to high settings

How often do you plan to upgrade?

once i get the PSU and GFX card I hope to let it stand for a whole before upgrading again. Im im happy with how things go and feel comfortable with a build i may donate this rig to the g/f and build a new one next summer.

How many FPS are you trying to get?

I think id be happy with 30+ on average.

everything is put togather atm, picking up the OS tomorrow.

no GPU yet, just the old one i had in my last computer the gt630. I dont think the current PSU could handle the 270 so i was thinking a 500w?

430W is a bit on the tight side, but should be fine. If you were going to oc the cpu and gpu then 500W or more would be better.

Thanks, ill admit im a bit giddy about this as ive been wanting to build my own pc for years. now im kicking myself for not doing it sooner, after reading all over the net and checking thru this sites vids and build guides it was easy as pie.
