Looking for a keyboard, uk layout, for coding and gaming. Macro/media keys nice but by no means essential. I'd ideally want to spend around 60 quid, but could go up to 70 if will give a worthwhile improvement.

As for aesthetics: completely optional of course, but a minimistic design would be preferred, and would perfer an aluminum looking style (although I realize that getting actual aluminum will be neigh on impossible for the price range).

The Corsair K70 RGB might be in that price range, I'm not exactly sure. How soon are you looking to buy?

Mechanical?

CM Storm line seems like it would fit nicely. Or the thermaltake keyboard. Forget it's name.

The K70 RGB will probably be over that budget, but you should be able to pick up the regular K70 within that budget. Basically the same board, just the RGB lets you change backlight colors and lets you keybind macros to any key. Also the older K70 is readily available in Cherry MX Brown and Blue switches as well as Reds, while the RGB model is currently only available with Reds.

The k70 is out of my price range, but whilst looking at the CM storm line I found the K65 is 65 pounds. Is it any good? I only hear good things about corsair.

The K70 seems to run at just over £100. I'll keep looking though because that keyboard looks pretty sweet.

Shouldn't really need a number pad. Still worth getting the K70?

CM Storm Quick Fire Pro - Simple mechanical keyboard without macro keys and other extra things. Plug-and-play!

Corsair K70 - Never used it, but people always hype this keyboard. Seems good.

Logitech G710+ - My favourite! Good cable management in the back of the keyboard for the headphones or whatever. Has extra buttons (macro buttons).

Razer Blackwidow - I am typing from this keyboard right now. I'm owner of Razer Blackwidow since 2010 and it's good, but I will upgrade(?) soon to Logitech G710+. Standart mechanical keyboard.

Sorry, I recommended based on currency conversions and not the regional sales price... It's about $130 in the US. my bad

Linus has a review of this board somewhere. It's an older one.
