Laptop Upgrade

I Have a lenovo g505s with 8gb at 800mhz And since i encode  a lot i wanna upgrade my ram but what frequency should i go for ? 1333mhz or 1800mhz ?
and will my laptop support this ?

1600MHz ram should be fine, though I would make sure there is an extra slot open on the laptop first before ordering more ram.

 

(or even better, get a desktop!)

How do you know it if 800 mhz? Because if you looked at speccy it only gives you half the clock speed so your ram is 800*2= 1600 mhz.

"Up to 16 GB DDR3L-1600 MHz" So it can be below that right ?  ....Mine is the AMD A8 5550M model
