Hello,

I'm planning to build a gaming PC for my little brother fairly soon as his current one isn't even capable of running source games (which means that I will not be reusing any parts). The budget is around 700 euros and my location is Austria (a very good way of figuring out austrian prices is using http://geizhals.at/, don't even using the american pcpartpicker and calculating how much it is in euros, prices in europe are a lot higher). I'm considering going for AMD with the CPU as it is significantly cheaper than intel and works perfectly fine, for the GPU I'm thinking either a mid-tier AMD GPU or the Nvidia GTX 750Ti.

However, I'm not sure, the last time I checked what new hardware had been released was last winter when I was building my own PC, so there might be some better options. Also, I would like this PC to really work well, not only have raw performance, as I will be the one fixing it when there's a problem, and I don't necessarily want to do that, so I might get fan control and what not. Anyway, I could really use some help choosing the parts (and I mean all parts, not just core components) aswell as building the whole thing later on, I've only build 2 PCs so far, one is mine which works but is a bit of a ghetto setup, and one for friends, however, that one doesn't seem to work perfectly :/. Also, both were really simple, I didn't even install any additional coolers, so any detailed explanation on optional parts which I haven't worked with so far is welcome.

Thanks in advance :D

How does the 750Ti perform compared to the R9 280x? Also, is a 130 euro motherboard something I want in a budget PC? What is the difference to cheaper motherboards?

@Everyone Should I not get additional fans?

Thanks for all the advice so far, I really appreciate it :)
