So here's the thing about two weeks ago my computer went down and couldn't start up. Me and a friend managed to find the problem which was the gpu and cpu which was dead.

So i went ahead and bought a new gpu and cpu "fx-8350" problem is within 30 seconds the cpu goes from 40 to 80 degrees which the pc responds to by shutting down basically i don't even get to the windows screen

changing cooler doesn't make a difference.

Now im thinking the motherboard could be the culpritt but im really clueless at this point.

Any help is really appreciated.

It could have something to do with how your motherboard handles power management.

It could also be your power supply.

What hardware are you using?

INTEL I7 4790K @4.6Ghz |  ASUS Z97-A  |  CORSAIR Vengeance Pro 1866Mhz 16gb | NVIDIA GTX 780 | NZXT H440 White | CORSAIR RM750 | SAMSUNG 840 EVO | WD Caviar Black 1TB | LIQUID COOLED |

My mb is a crosshair formula V

Gpu Radeon r9 280x

Psu is 750 watt no idea what brand it is <- it did work fine when we tested it on my friends pc.

Also im using a Cooler master v10 which worked just fine on my old 8150 cpu

Oh im also using windows 7

Now i don't know a lot about this stuff but my friend told me nothing looked weird on the voltage usage.

That's a really good motherboard, I doubt that's the problem.

I'm pretty sure that it's the PSU, it might work fine on your friends PC, but every PC is different.

Try using another powersupply.

Before you do that, go to your BIOS, and set ALL settings to default, and update the BIOS. If that doesn't work, it means that it is the PSU.

What case and fans are you using?

could be an airflow thing, that motherboard will be cleaning the power no matter what the PSU?
