So i had a problem formating my brothers asus k55-vj that i had never seen before, first of it was a pain in the butt to even get it to start from the usb drive(i know it works, my current desktop's windows was intaled using the same windows 8.1 usb drive),but after i fiddled with the bios i managed to do it, and i started formating normally like i usually do, buy clearing the partitions, and then, since they were separated by factory, but i didn't like how it was, i removed them to make a new ones, i do so and then encountered a problem, when i tried to select a partition to install windows to, it said it could not be done, since the selected disk was in GPT(no idea what it is, even after 30 min on google), that error is on both the partitions that i can install things in, so now my laptop is kinda bricked.... Can i possibly get this up again or am i screwed?

also i found this info in a portuguese forum

Enter BIOS Setup;
Disable secure boot;
Save and exit;
Press Esc to boot options;
Run Bootable USB Drive;
Convert pretended disk from GPT to MBR;
restart pc;
Press Esc to boot options;
Run USB or Disk Win 7 and now is ready to successfully install without losing DATA;

Still no idea how to solve the problem, help would be much apreciated,
