Is this a good CPU?

Hey guys. I am not going to be overclocking for now so I thought I would get a non k-series CPU to save a little money. But thats besides the point. Is the Intel-3470 processor anygood? Its a Quad Core i5 that has 3.20GHz clock and 3.60GHz boost clock. This is for a casual gaming PC. Try not to give me recomendations on other CPUs I would rather know the good points and bad points about this one. Thanks

It's good aye. You won't be able to overclock it much, but for casual gaming it'll do fine.

I play games like CS:GO, War thunder, Kerbal Space Program. Nothing to intense.

One thing though, checked your profile - says you have a HD7790? That is the next thing you should look into upgrading.

Funny you should say that. I am just about to update my profile. I just ordered a new GPU actually about 5hrs ago!

should be fine but i'd wait a bit because prices will most likely drop a fair bit soon

Are you just rebuilding a PC or moving to new parts? (Saw your question about a new GPU and on your profile it says 3570 so that'd be a downgrade, in practice.)

I am getting a new GPU. Thats it, and this new GPU is a lot better than my current one. I was just seeing what people think about my CPU and my profile should say 3470. Thanks for spotting that.

My current GPU used to cost £115 but now its only £80, still perfroms great though. Anyway this new GPU has the new Maxwell thing from Nvidia. Less more and more performance.
