New work notebook for my dad

So, my dad has this almost 6 year old 14 inch DELL laptop that he uses for work and finally I got him to replace it, but I'm not sure which laptop to buy. All he does is send lots of emails and browse the crap out of Internet Explorer. I'm looking for a notebook with a good battery life, SSD and at least 6 GB of RAM. Does anybody have any tips?

Get this (http://www.ebay.com/itm/311042303105) and buy a SSD separate for it, I think it even has an mSATA slot open if you want to keep the hard drive as well as get an SSD. I doubt there's anything as good in terms of build quality/specs for the money. I had my sister order one for herself yesterday.
