Nvidia GPU bug?

Hey guys, I just opened my PC to clean out all the dust and when I set it all back up again, I jumped into a game of Battlefield 4 and my FPS was really low. I thought maybe it was the refresh rate my monitor is set to so I tried to open Nvidia Control Panel to change it but every time I do so a message pops up saying "You are not currently using a display attached to an NVIDIA GPU." but I obviously am. Anyone know any fixes?

maybe you could reinstall the drivers?

Did you hook up the monitor to the onboard GPU? You could have done that, the board recognizes you are using the onboard gpu and battlefield runs on it which explains the low fps! This is what happened most likely, please check and report back.

I feel so stupid, I plugged the DVI cable into the motherboard and not the GPU, its all good now. Thanks for replying anyway guys
