Hey guys, I recently RMA my Silverstone Strider Gold Evolution 850w power supply due to excessive coil whine. http://www.silverstonetek.com/product.php?pid=319%C2'> waiting for 3 months they have returned me a Silver Stone Strider Plus 850 W silver edition. I know that originally I paid more but I could get a store credit for the difference.

I have been googling for ages, as I need to decide before I plug it in should I keep the one they have sent me or is it worse quality? I don't know much about power supply quality and upon reviewing the two products I couldn't determine which one was of new / better or improved design. The energy efficiency doesn't matter so much.

To me they're both branded and about the same, but I don't know what your rig is like. Maybe you could tell us what parts are there in your system and we could make a more informed decision :)
