I'm building my own computer, and I have compiled a list of components that I would like to use. However while I'm fairly sure all of these will work, I would like to make sure that there aren't any mistakes I'm making before I buy these.

The components are as follows:

Case: Phanteks Enthoo Primo

Motherboard: Gigabyte GA-Z77X-UD5H Intel Z77 1155 ATX

CPU: Intel® Core™ i7-4930K Processor (12M Cache, up to 3.90 GHz)

RAM: Vengeance® — 16GB Dual/Quad Channel DDR3 Memory Kit (CMZ16GX3M4X1866C9R)

Graphics Card: Nvidia GeForce GTX TITAN Black

Hard Drive: Western Digital Black WD2002FAEX

Power Supply: be quiet! Pure Power L8 730W CM

Cooling System: be quiet! Dark Rock Pro 3

OS: Windows 7 Home Premium

I just want to know if this system will work once it's assembled, and possibly any parts I should replace or switch out.

Welcome to Linus Tech Tips!

You've picked an LGA1155 motherboard, which won't work with the LGA2011 4930K. You'll need a X79 or X99 motherboard if you want to use that CPU, or a CPU where the first number after i3/i5/i7 starts with a 2 or a 3 if you want to use that motherboard.

Titan Black is in no way worth the cost. I'd much rather save the money and go for a GTX 780.

This should also be in the build advice section btw

What is the purpose and budget?

That motherboard and processor won't work.

A titan black is total overkill for anything except being a CUDA developer.

Aesthetics of rigs matter

And if you're gaming you should get a 780Ti it performs better than the Titan

Thank you, I have switched out the GA-Z77X-UDH5 with the G1.Assassin 2. Also I understand that initially a TITAN Black isn't worth the price, but I only get a new rig or make changes to mine every 6 or 7 years and because technology isn't advancing at a steady rate, instead advancing exponentially, I'd prefer to spend the extra money just to make sure that the system I have stays relevant and functional for the next 6 or 7 years.

Honestly a Titan Black might last you a few months to a year longer then a 780 or 290X, and where I am the Titan Black costs almost double the price. Not worth it in my opinion, and you could just add a second card later on if you'd like.
