Catalyst Control Center 8x SSAA

I'm somehow I'm able to force 8x SSAA through CCC with hardly any loss in performance, maybe a loss of 5 or so FPS max. How is this possible? Is it the same for all of you or is it just me?

I was impressed then I scrolled down. No shit it doesn't have an impact.

I just used Minecraft screenshots because I felt the difference was more obvious. It's the same story for other games.
