Ever since I built my PC, I've been having wifi problems. Here are it's specs:

  • CPU
    Intel Core i5-3570K
  • Motherboard
    MSI B75MA-P45
  • RAM
    Corsair Vengeance Black (8GB)
  • GPU
2GB XFX Radeon HD7870 Ghz Edition
  • Case
    NZXT Source 210 Elite
  • Storage
Western Digital Caviar Black 1TB HDD and a Samsung 840 Series 120GB SSD
  • PSU
    Corsair CX500M
  • Display
    Hannspree HL272HPB 27.0"

Some background: I orginally pirated Windows 7 Ultimate 64-bit. Eventually Windows found out it wasn't genuine, so it did the usual no background, no essentials, and no updates thing. I installed an ASUS PCE-N15 wifi card. It worked for about 2 weeks (but gave me pretty bad speeds), and then died on me. Tried reinstalling drivers, did usual troubleshooting things, didn't work. I had it RMAed, got a new one, reinstalled it, but to no avail. I thought that pirated Windows was causing the problem, so I stuck with ethernet (the reason I don't want to use ethernet it because I have to drag a cable halfway across my house from my PC to my router).

After a while a time came when I decided to register Windows. Shortly after doing so I got myself a new wifi USB thing (a TP-LINK TL-WN725N). I used the drivers on the CD; no luck. Then I got new drivers from their website; still didn't work. The unit itself works (as in it powers on and flashes its green LED), but doesn't see my wifi signal nor any others. Since I experienced similar problems with my ASUS card I decided it probably wasn't a manufacturing issue.

So here I am with a (possibly) dead wifi card and a non-working TP-LINK wireless USB adapter. I need help! Any suggestions?

-snip-

tp-links stuff is absolutely crap first off I was stuck with their horrible modem/router for a while and it didnt even fully support wireless N also if possible try them on different computers if they still dont work then the problem is with them if they do work reinstall windows if its that big of a deal

Thats that. If you need to get in touch chances are you can find someone that knows me that can get in touch.
