Hey was just reading around and found that the maximum safe temperature for an FX 6300 is about 60°C. This sound about right? I'm going to test my temps in game and in Prime95 and I'll share them with you guys when I do. If I have been running higher than 60°C on average in game, will this have seriously damaged my CPU?

OK thanks. If it gets above there I'm definitely buying an aftermarket cooler, if close probably getting one as well

The fx-6300 stock cooler sounds like a hairdryer! Temps when not overclocked should stay under 60, unless you have a bad airflow. If you have some money left check out the cooler master hyper 212 evo cooler. If that one is to expensive or if it's to big for your case, look for the cooler master tx3 evo. The 212 has a 120mm fan and the tx3 a 92mm, so the performance on the 212 evo is better.
