Hello,

 

I am trying to get OSX to run in virtual box via a tutorial via: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Nod7cpxzxLc

 

Just that when I attempt to start it, I am unable to start it with this error: 

Failed to open a session for the virtual machine Mavericks.The virtual machine 'Mavericks' has terminated unexpectedly during startup with exit code 1.Result Code: E_FAIL (0x80004005)Component: MachineInterface: IMachine {480cf695-2d8d-4256-9c7c-cce4184fa048}

I've looked online for possible solutions and have found not a lot as some solutions have done nothing.

 

I am running Windows 8.1.

 

Any reason why it isn't starting?

Are you running the latest version of Virtual Box?

 eGPU Setup: Macbook Pro 13" 16GB DDR3 RAM, 512GB SSD, i5 3210M, GTX 980 eGPU

New PC: i7-4790k, Corsair H100iGTX, ASrock Fatal1ty Z97 Killer, 24GB Ram, 850 EVO 256GB SSD, 1TB HDD, GTX 1080 Fractal Design R4, EVGA Supernova G2 650W

I've recently looked up the issue and it may be to do it AVG when I install Virtual Box.

 

I am going to download the version off this post https://forums.virtualbox.org/viewtopic.php?f=6&t=62615 and see if this makes a diffrence.
