I like the way the Antec Three Hundred looks, but it is an older deisgn. What rating would you give the Antec Three Hundred from 1 to 10? (1 being terrible and 10 being great) Rate on: noise, build quality, functionality, etc. How does it stack up against cases made today?

Eww. Looks like my 5 year old CM Elite 334.

What are some other case you could suggest that don't have windows? I wasn't planning on buying this, but I just wanted to know.

I don't buy boxes for computer parts when I build computers its a work of art....its my art....so for me a window is never not an option. although I do like the Rosewill Thor & the 250D by Corsair. But then again I also believe if it doesn't have a window it must be a mess which isn't always true but I just always figured that way.

Work of art you say? A case doesn't necessarily need a window to be beautiful, and unless you're building cases like this http://million-dollar-pc.com/systems-2010/cygnus-x1/cygnus-x1.htm I wouldn't exactly call it a work of art.

Have you seen the one hundred? it looks similar and is a bit better. Neither is a bad case by any stretch of the imagination, but at the moment there are better solutions out there (mainly cases with more features and more practicality). For example what do you think of the corsair haf 912?

Don't ask to ask, just ask... please 🤨

Um I would....cases like these

I stand by my word regardless of what you say. Period.....building a computer is suppose to be a work of art....otherwise why spend 3-5k on a computer?

If you've previously won the build off please pm me so we can get something worked out.

The Antec Three Hundred was by far and large the best entry level case on the market when it was released, however that is ever so many years ago and the market has developed a lot since then.

The cases don't have to be the same price, just not over $200. I was looking at the Lian-Li PC-A51B a while back, but I'm not sure if I can SLI in it.

Even that really isn't a work of art....there are better more simplistic builds here that have 10 times the functionality of that case. It is a very nice mod on the outside tho.

If your budget is $200, then I would automatically recommend the Phanteks Enthoo Pro.

Screw that....the phanteks pro is good but the luxe is better.

If your budget is $200, then I would automatically recommend the Phanteks Enthoo Pro. The non-windowed version doesn't come with a power supply cover by the way, and is not sold separately.

I don't like the looks the best, but I could deal with it.

Slightly better, but doesn't have a non-windowed version.

This is true...watercooling is vastly better in the luxe...otherwise you are correct....

If you want a decent cheap case:

Corsair 200R/300R or CM HAF 912.

More expensive:

Corsair C70, 600T

PC: Corsair C70 Arctic, FX 9370, Corsair H80i, Gigabyte 990fxa-ud3, Corsair Vengence 16gb, Palit JetStream GTX 970, OCZ Vertex 4 128gb and Western Digital Blue 1Tb + 500gb, Antec Gamer 520w

Peripherals: Logitech G19 and SteelSeries Sensei RAW

Toshiba L50-A: i7 4700mq, 8gb, 1TB HDD, GT 740M 2gb

I don't believe watercooling is vastly better in the Luxe. How is it better?

  1. Fans mounted above the chassis to allow for a thicker radiator (#1 reason, the thicker the radiator the less heat...it can fit a aquacool monsta in the top)
  2. You mount a radiator in the bottom as well
  3. You have a res. bracket in 2 locations on this case and are not limited by the one location.
  4. you can mount a 280mm in the front and another 140 in the rear exhaust (tho I believe this can be done on all three cases).

1. The fan mount is nice. I don't think it allows 60mm thick radiators, but it does help.

2. You can mount radiators in the bottom in the Pro as well, and in both it can conflict with the power supply cover.

3. The Pro has a reservoir mount at the back by the expansion slot covers, and a removable mount on the 3.5" bay area that may conflict with long GPUs. That's two. Are they the same two you're talking about?

4. Yes I believe it can be also. In fact, if you remove the 3.5"/5.25" bays (remember, screws) you can mount a 360/420 in the front with minimal modding.
