You could use a hard drive duplicator or if you have another computer it would be easier to plus it into the sata data + power and also plug in the external drive and just cut it over.

Also if you do not have a desktop you could but a powered sata to usb adapter.

Don't mess with the old computer just yet! First make sure you can copy the data else where then copy it to this new temporary location. Then, look at the old system and see what the format is and if you can read it on your newer computer(s). If so then just remove the drives and see if you can, if you can you're done and can trash the old computer and remove the temp copy. Don't go yanking the drives and maybe ruining the data by trying to read it else where before knowing you can. The old computer should not be trashed till you have the data safely else where in case you need something special off the old system to read the data.

I roll with sigs off so I have no idea what you're advertising.
