Help! I tried to oc my 4770k to 4.2 ghz. I stability tested on manual and verified that my cpu is stable at 4.2 at 1.125 vcore. But when I switch to adaptive mode, my motherboard completely disregards my set voltage and bumps the voltage up to 1.22 when my cpu is under stress. I am aware you cant stress test with adaptive voltage, but this happens when im playing games, and doing other real world things that stress the cpu out.

note: if I put the voltage to anything higher than 1.22 the cpu will give that exact voltage under load.

i7 4770k

asus gryphon motherboard

gigabyte r9 290

corsair h100i

antec 620 watt psu

8gb corsair ram 1600mhz

what I did in the bios

asus oc tuner: swithced it from auto to xmp

cpu core ratio: switched it from auto to sync all cores

set multiplier to 42

set voltage to adaptive

defined additional turbo voltage to 1.125 (that automatically set "total turbo mode voltage" to 1.125)
