Anyone know if/when we will start to see manufacturers pushing out their custom pcb and cooling solutions for the Gtx780? I really like the look and preformance I have seen with my DirectCU2 cards with Asus and would like to maintain at least that appearance when/if I upgrade to Gtx780.

I know the cooler on this Titan and 780 is amazing. The color is what I am mostly not thrilled about. The reference look on an rog board with red led's lighting the case, doesnt look great. If it comes down to it, I will not avoid a 780 because of the looks, but I'm willing to wait to if there is an option that will fit my wants better.

Custom coolers have already been shown by Gigabyte and EVGA.

Concerning non-reference PCB designs though:

As far as I know, NVIDIA has not yet clarified whether board partners will be given the green light to develop non-reference PCB design 780's. In my opinion, I doubt they'll be allowed to since a non-reference 780 like MSI's Lightning Edition, ASUS' Matrix, EVGA's Classified etc would easily kill the Titan and they don't want that to happen since it's still a cash cow for them.

Absolutely.  I'd look for something like the MSI Lightning to appear sometime in late June...

Incorrect.  Due to Green Light Nvidia's AIB's have been limited to the same +38mV that the reference cards are limited to meaning that ultimate OC's will be totally limited by that voltage.  The MSI Lightning will have far superior power delivery due to beefed up VRM's etc but it will still OC no higher than the reference card due to that voltage limitation.  The positive news with non reference cards like the Lightning and EVGA's Classified is that the boards are much higher quality and you run a far lower risk of blowing VRM's once hard modded than you do with reference...

I think I may have worded that wrong. What I meant was the a MSI 780 Lightning, EVGA 780 Classified, ASUS 780 Matrix etc would kill the Titan in performance. That is why I doubt that NVIDIA will allow their board partners to do that.
