adaptive mode not listening!

Help! i recently overclocked my i7 4770k to 4.2 GHz. I have stress tested on manual mode and my cpu is stable at 4.2 GHz at 1.12 volts. But when I switch to adaptive mode, my voltage jumps to 1.22! I am aware you cant stress test with adaptive mode, but my cpu voltage jumps to 1.22 even with real world stuff, like playing bf3 and image editing!  post-76199-0-74480400-1406577916_thumb.p
