just wondering is this psu enough to power x-fire matrix 7970 ,

im planning on getting a 2nd one this august..

current build is

Maximus hero vi

i7-4770k

matrix 7970

single loop water cooled

with 360 rad.

should i get a higher watt or its all good?

300W max power consumption x 2 = 600W + about 250W for the rest of your components. Cutting it close IMO. Have a look at a good 1000W or 1200W, if your budget allows.

250w for a CPU, and fans and mobo etc? a little bit too much dont you think? especially because it's intel, i'd say it would take around 180-200W maybe

I always calculate a bit extra headroom when getting a PSU.

budget is a little tight,as the matrix 7970 is about 300-400$ converted from the currency in the country im living.

Yep, if you want the AX860i it'll cut it since your components won't be running at full load all the time (almost never). 

 

However there are these two great PSU's that are still cheaper than the AX860i.
