Dxtory Video Recording Issue

I record Minecraft with Dxtory often and it runs smoothly, and I prefer it over other recording softwares, but my friend recently opened up an SMP server where we all record our gameplay, but his server is in 1.7.9 and for some reason Dxtory doesnt produce a video file when recording in that minecraft version, it only produces audio, however the description for the video still says it is a video file. any tips plz?
