Go with Ivy Bridge for gaming, not Sandy Bridge-E. It will be better.

You don't need that PSU, that is only going to be less efficient than something like 750w, unless you don't care about electric bills. (Or if you take my suggestion of multiple GPUs, then 750w won't be enough)

You *really* should consider custom watercooling, but if not go with the Kraken x60, not the H100.

Get a Ducky keyboard, not a K90.

I'd rather have large resolution (2560x1600) instead of 120Hz, but if you really want 120Hz, with that kind of money I'd go with multiple monitors.

Go with OCZ Vector, Samsung 840 Pro, or Corsair Neutron SSDs.

Adding on to suggestion of multiple monitors and higer resolution. Go with two or three 670 4GBs instead of a 690s. (Or if you want to go AMD there are a plethora of options).

As for your last comment, TVs don't actually have 240Hz, its all marketing. Get yourself a proper 3D surround monitor setup with that kind of money. It will be a lot better (or just a single large resolution monitor).

Agree about the SSD's, the Samsungs get my vote :)

Change to ram you have a quad channel board use quad channel ram as it will get you better bandwidth twice the bandwidth.

Other than that slap on some hdd like barracudas or wd red drives as the 2 ssd will fill quickly you only have 256Gb of space at the moment im guess you dont have a few external drive you can dismantle to put into your new machine.

Also a case might be handy.

I could have gone with the custom watercooling, but i don't like it, so I gone with the all-in-one liquid cooling solution
The monitor is use as a second screen, I use my 46" Samsung D8000 as the main monitor. The refresh rate is 240Hz. go to the link to see:

I am building a new system at this price because, I need to play this on my 46'' Samsung Slim LED TV, so I need a powerful build like i said $2000-$5000. Anyway I appreciated all of your comments.
pixel density's on tv's are really low compared to monitors so there's no real need to spend anywhere near 5000 on it.

SAVE FOR COLLEGE IN THE FUTURE that would be were you should spend the money.

It doesn't really work like that, it cannot display 120fps, it cannot even take a dual link DVI or DP...Its basically a fancy motion blur, not the same as 120hz gaming monitors and will ghost like a bee hatch!

I just want you to see the body of the TV. I already owned this TV 5 months ago.

You do know that the physical size of the monitor/tv has nothing to do with how demanding it is on the system right?

I have a 3570k and a GTX670, not OC'ed at the moment, and they run every game I have tried maxed out on very playable FPS. Probably cant run all games with high enough FPS for 3D, but thats not something im going for really..

The 3930k is a great CPU, but its completly overkill!

I suggest you get a 1500-2500 dollar system now and build a new one in 2-3 years!

And spending 5000 dollars on a crazy-high-end system and not doing a custom watercooling loop is just wrong in my eyes, I know watercooling is not for everyone but still. :D

(Comming soon)

Cool, think there was some good advice in this...You'll have both monitors anyway...I guarantee you end up doing most of your gaming on the ASUS...Maybe set up a few topics asking more specifically about motherboards PSU's etc, linking this one, so people have a general idea what your after, but I can tell you with your budget your not going to be disappointed, you won't leave the house for a few years lol :)

In all seriousness, i don't think it's wise for a 14 year old to splurge 5000 dollars on a PC, despite being 16 myself, even after 8 months of research and i'm only starting my build now, my budget is barely $1500 max.. $5000 on a FIRST BUILD when you have no idea how to maintain/take care of a PC may result in pretty bad problems.

Just my $0.02

Why are you buying a sound card just to play Slender...? You would do better with a 5.1 or 7.1 stereo if what you're looking for is the effect.

mid range grafics cards pretty much max out games at 1080p , if your wanting to go bonkers on a rig its a waste of time to play at that rez , you either want a monitor thats 2560x1400 , or go with a 3 monitor surround.

high end grafics cards are a complete waste of value unless your going to utilize there power today , becuse nvidia's next flagship grafics card will be out in probleby 4 months time and be half the price of a 690 and not be far off the performance.

Also Agree with the SSD's Vector get my vote :D

In all seriousness, i don't think it's wise for a 14 year old to splurge 5000 dollars on a PC, despite being 16 myself, even after 8 months of research and i'm only starting my build now, my budget is barely $1500 max.. $5000 on a FIRST BUILD when you have no idea how to maintain/take care of a PC may result in pretty bad problems.

Just my $0.02

That's the point I tried to make earlier but he's having none of it. He'll regret spending $5k in about 6 months..

I don't mean to disrespect you or anything and don't take this the wrong way either, but you have a lot of research to do before spending that much on a PC, especially $5000.

Many of us here are very experienced and are only trying to help. My advice to you is to do some research and have a little more understanding of each component before you pull the trigger on such an expensive rig. I researched over a year and a half before I built my own rig and I'm very happy I did.

It's hard seeing someone as young as you waste your money on something that could have been spent more efficiently.
