looking to go to a smaller form factor from my full tower down to a m-atx, and would like some help on hardware and especially the case, build is solely for gaming

Mobo-asus rampage iv gene lga 2011- would like to use an all in one liquid cooler for this however dont know if it will fit, so open to other ideas for cpu cooling)

Cpu-4930k (already own)

memory- 4x 8gb g-skill ripjaw 1600 (i heard that some games are actually benefiting from the higher speed memory, any one thinks it worth it let me know. i don't.)

Gpu- r9 295x2 (already have the card so dont tell me to get two 780ti's)

Psu- seagate platinum 1200w (might be looking into getting two cards down the road and dont know if this will be enough, on a side note- most people on here said i couldnt run the r9 295x2 on a 850w power supply and yet i have so....)

case- have no freaking clue!!! looking into bitfenix prodigy however dont know if it will fit both the gpu rad and the cpu rad, also would like something that could fit a custom loop in the future

storage- again not sure looking for a ssd 500gb+, looking at the samsung evo as its the cheapest one ive seen, and i dont think i will notice much of a difference in performance from a higher end ssd with just gaming) also i will be getting 2!!

budget- whatever

If you just game, no need to go crazy on 4930k and 32GB of ram on a m-atx build

@Red Harbinger,

The Fractal Design Arc Mini R2 has the room, with drive bays removed, to handle two r9 295x. The case will also handle a radiator for the cpu in the top.

If you were planning on a two gpu system then it would be best to use all ssd. But you could mount an hdd in one of the 5.25" external drive bays.

Higher memory speeds do make a difference so long as the kits have decent latency. Not sure though how noticeable the difference will be when gaming. If one is doing anything over 60fps, does an extra fps or two make a difference?

The Crucial MX100 tends to be less expensive than the Samsung 840 EVO but that varies. I agree that for gaming and general use the difference in ssd speeds is not perceptible.

pcpartpicker estimates draw of a 2 gpu system at over 1200W. While they tend to be a touch on the high side, one does need to account for aging. You may want to consider a larger psu.

agreed, however the ram was just for aesthetics, and sorry forgot to mention 4930k already own as well, changed it up top and like i said the power supply im looking for something to be handle two cards in the future, and that case is what i have been looking at but, how tight would the fit be with a h100i and the 120 from the gpu?

It will, but since you only have 1 SSD i suggest hooking that behind and remove all the drive cages to ensure better air flow

If you already own the 4930k, then the rampage gene iv and quad-channel 32GB isn't a bad idea

lol was waiting for someone to recommend the arc mini r2, and yes i will be only using ssd's in the build, two of whatever i decide on. and agreed on the memory, also i am looking into other psu's such as ax1500i but not really a fan of corsairs psu's (also if i went with bitfenix i think this psu is too long with being 224mm but correct me if im wrong) thinking of the super flower leadex 1300w but not really a big jump in terms of power capacity.

There are not a lot of choices when one starts looking for psu in the 1300W - 1600W range. The AX-1500i is likely the best there is in that range.

I see Super Flower has Leadex 1300W Gold and Titanium models. Given Super Flower's reputation I expect either would be very good. There is also the Antec HCP-1300.

The Prodigy-M has severe limits on psu size with long gpu and I am not sure it would even be possible to have 2 R9 295X in the box as the second one would interfere with any radiator(s) in the top.
