I'd like to rip off NZXT and put a rear I/O led on my Enthoo Pro.  It seems pretty straight forward but I have zero electric experience, so I don't want to screw it up by not using a resistor or something.

I'd like to accomplish this:

with a button like this:

So, I imagine I would need a 3mm or 5mm led bulb, with some form of power (sata would be nice, but even molex would be fine) and a simple button switch.  Is there anything I need to know?  As far as I can tell, I just drill a 5mm hole, put the led in a plastic shroud, wire it to a molex connector, and then to the power button.  Am I missing anything?

I know I can buy an led to molex, even pre-sleeved from XSPC, but how do I wire the power button to it?

You would need to cut the sleeve and wire then solder a switch in line with the LED, which would probably make it look pretty ugly. If I were you I would make the whole thing from parts (even better if you have some laying around). You could make it with 2 LEDs in line and run it from the 5V (or 7V maybe) of a molex connector. You could actually get 3.3V from a SATA power connector from which you could run 1 LED perfectly. Take a look in your parts bin and see if you have the stuff to make it :)

"PSU brands are meaningless, look up the OEM."
