I am currently building a computer and plan on during gaming on it. I also listen to a lot of music so I am also for a good music headphones. So I was thinking about getting the Audio-Technica ATH-M50 headphones and a Blue Yeki or Snowball. Probably the Yeki though. Or should I just get a headset with a mic? I wanted to see want you guys think.

I am leaning toward the Audio-Technica ATH-M50 headphones and the Blue Yeki.

Quality headset + standalone mic is probably the best choice, if you have the money ^^

I will add a Soundcard [not sure which one yet] and get Sennheiser HD598 [my bro just bought them, they're awesome] and a Snowball. I can't tell you anything about the headset you mentioned, since I do not know it, but usually you're on the safe road to stay away from All-In-One-Headsets ^^

Thanks, i was looking at the snowball but the yeki is said to be a lot better for $20. I will look into those headphones, but the one i mentioned as tons on amazing reviews. I plan to get a sound card, but not right now.

Does anyone else have great headphone recommendations that would go good with a sound card.

Which sound card?  Most of them have output impedances around 7-10 Ohms, so I'd recommend something like the Beyerdynamic DT990pros since they have a 250 Ohm impedance.  For lower impedance headphones, I'd look at something with a low output impedance like the FiiO E10, Shiit Magni and Modi, or, of course, the O2+ODAC.

Read the FAQ if you have any more questions.
