Hello! This is my first time ever posting on the LinusTechTips forums. So I recently built my first PC a couple of months ago, and at the time, I was a bit tight on money, so I decided to go with only a WD Caviar Black 1TB as my main drive for everything. Now that I have some more cash at hand, I was really considering on getting a Samsung 840 EVO 256GB SSD and keep my current WD Caviar Black for my games, media, files etc. I was wondering if it was possible to transfer just the OS from the hard drive to an SSD, and leave my games behind on my hard drive. Or will I just have to do a fresh install of Windows on the SSD. I really don't want to have to download 100+ GB worth of games, considering my download speed is only 80 KB/s and would take ages. If you have any suggestion of what I could do, I would really appreciate feedback. Thanks!
