Cubitek Mini Cube

Go to solution Solved by Gachr,

I don't have the case and I don't think that somebody here does, especially that it's called differently in the US.

What I can do is recommend you a few cases. I think that the Q33 and Q36 from Lian Li are great deals, airflow there seems to be decent. Also Xigmatek was supposed to make their Nebula case of aluminum.

Silverstone has got their FT03 and FT03 Mini, I'm not sure but I think that just the panels are made of aluminum, I'm not sure. If you drop the aluminum requirement, you can take a look at Silverstone Raven Z and ML07, also the second one was supposed to come out in aluminum.

Hi,

I'm looking at upgrading my PC case soon. I have a mini-ITX system in a cooler master elite 120, but I'm looking to move up to a fully aluminium case. I really like the look of the cubitek. I found every single Lian-li offering to be 95% my perfect case, but with huge drawback in each one (like the 100c temps in linus' Q28 video). The cubitek case seems to be the best case of this style.

The big problem? in order to fit the 120mm intake in this case, you apparently have to have a 150mm-or-less deep PSU. My nearly new RM650 is 1cm too long.

Does anybody happen to own this case? could you confirm whether there's space for an extra cm?

Thanks

You could get a new PSU, such as the silverstone strider gold series, which are smaller and fully modular. They will fit I do believe. However, this is an expensive and unfortunate move you would potentially have to make, unfortunately I cannot give more advice as I have not used a mini cube.

Okay, I feel a bit silly now.

As the Q33 was shown with one of the mini 760 cards in it, I had assumed my full 760 wouldn't fit. But it should. Just.

So thanks for checking more thoroughly than I did, that looks like the one I'm after  :D

Yeah, I was more surprised that you card is so short rather than that the case can hold that GPU :D

I would rather take the Q36 because of expandability.
