Hey im trying to use my Samsung TV as a second monitor but im having trouble doing it, im using HDMI from my GTX 780 to my main monitor and that works fine, but im using a displayport to HDMI cable to the TV and I cant get a signal.

It list my TV as a digital display in the Nvidia control panel but wont display on the TV, I know its not a faulty cable because I plugged it into the motherboard displayport socket and it displayed on my TV and even listed the TV as Samsung, but this is no good as it uses Intel graphics and not the 780, please help as its driving me fucking mental.

try switching the ports. use the display for your primary and the HDMI for your secondary and see what happens. i have a similar setup with a 760ti but im using dvi and hdmi and it works. not sure why it doesn't work on yours. have you tried looking at your display settings in windows, you may find the problem there.

It may be that it isn't able to output to HDMI and display. or maby for some reason it isn't selecting the right ports to output on. Im using a dvi on my main display and a hdmi on my secondary display and i know that works. I'll try to hunt down and display to hdmi adapter and a second hdmi cable. if i can recreate the problem i may be able to help out more.

cool cheers mate, if its the cable i will just use the normal hdmi to the tv and use dvi for the monitor, its just weird as the mobo displayport socket actually displayed to the tv and recognised the tv brand but the 780 doesnt want to know.

Ok i went through mu computer box and my GFX card boxes and of all the different adapters not one display to hdmi. i did find a mini hdmi to hdmi so iwill try replacing my dvi with it and see what happens. in the mean time i hope the dvi cable solution works. but im still working on it.
