laptops upgrade?

so i wanted to know with Intel 5th generation coming and upcoming DDR4 rams

should i wait for next year or buy a laptop now

Not on the Z97 platform, but on X99 it will. I don't know what the laptop stuff is. So buy a laptop now.

will if there will DDR4L ram for laptops came it's will give a longer battery life it will use less voltage means more saved energy and the 5th generation Intel CPUs are less power hungry maybe you will see a benefit

Do you need a laptop now or do you not?

If you need one now, waiting doesn't sound like a good option. If you don't need one now, why would you buy one now?

 

Haswell is already very efficient and LPDDR3 further reduces power consumption, so current gen laptops are already very good on battery life.. Since Broadwell will most likely be based on the same architecture as Haswell, the only power savings will come from the process shrink.
