Hello everyone,

My friend just got a DELL XPS from COSTCO and I believe that he got ripped off.

Here are the specs on his XPS:

- i7 4770

- 2TB HDD

- 12 Gb ram don't know the frequency though pretty sure it's 4gb x3 1600

- GT 635 YES a GT

- Win 8

Basically he wants a computer to edit video with (he has a GO Pro) and he might want to do some light gaming.

Can someone help me out on a build for video editing, I think you need some high frequency ram, and a good processor not sure though.

Maybe a SSD for the OS and a 2 tb HDD for data and storage.

He has a budget of about 1000$ including keyboard, mouse and screen and he also wants Win 8.

He lives in the US in Florida.

Thanks for the builds, it's weird that I can't see the AMD build unless I Quote your post. Is that normal or am I not doing something right?

Edit: NVM, I refreshed the page and the second part appeared!!

Thank you again!

How would that stock cooler do on the FX? Should he get an aftermarket cooler?
