Whats your GPU? Check your GPU software, It could have a setting to change the Online videos colour etc, and you have increased the brightness etc on it by accident

So I have been trying to watch some videos on youtube today, but 100% of the videos I open from my subscriptions come up and I can watch the whole but the video has like a translucent cover on it. So everything is just very white. it's hard to explain and I have no clue how to fix it.

 

Also worth noting is that I can click on videos on the homepage or the similar videos and they wont always come up with this problem, but they still occasionally do. 

 

Anybody have some help? I feel like I'm out of things to try.

 

 

Picture is an example of what the videos look like. Still watchable but literally could not be more annoying to me.

Everything in your browser up to date? flash up to date? java? etc.

 

That's all I've got for that lol. Sorry I cant be of more help.

I changed the brightness and that fixed it. Thank you very much!! But do you have any idea why some videos I opened weren't effected?

You can change the settings for practically anything. You have your Monitor which controls colour and has its own preferred settings

You GPU has its own Colour control and preferred settings, but your GPU can use the Monitor settings,

Different application use different settings which control things such as lighting and what not.

 

You may prefer to have richer colour and sharpness when watching Videos, but not when gaming so the GPU can change the colour and settings to your preference etc.
