External Soundcard - Mac

Does anyone of you have a suggestion for an external soundcard working with windows an macintosh?

most soundcards only work with windows... all i really need is an stereo output for my headphones and it should be under 100$.

The only one I can recommend for $100 which will probably be around $110 with taxes depending on where you are from is the Presonus Audiobox USB. It's an audio interface that works both for Mac and PC, It is meant to be used for recording, but it can be used as an external Soundcard solution even with laptops. Besides having a headphone output, it also has a main L/R output in case you also want to put speakers on it. Oh and you could probably find it a lot cheaper on ebay.

how about fiio e10 ?? i use it on my laptop witch is on windows 8. but i think ( not sure ) it work both way ,and it's under $100 ( in my country ). it's a wonderful piece of device. full metal body,have amplifier and DAC,it's just great the only problem is it's newer version of fiio e10 is coming up called the fiio e10K ( on the website )

It's already come up. E10 is discontinued and extremely expensive now.

 

You want desktop Fiio, you get E10K.

 

Not clear that it's necessary in this case tho.

hahahha.. now i know why when i purchase it it have 40% discount . but seriously is it really come up ?? well i have no choice since i can't get the e10k because i have spend it on fiio e10
