Android volume levels

I was wondering whether or not there is a way to fine tune the volume levels on Android. They are either too loud or too soft, and there is no precise slider like there is on iOS. Any thoughts?

Well once you activate volume controls with the volume rocker you can also slide it using the touch screen but besides that there isn't much else you can do unless you root your phone.

sliding it with the touch screen only moves it up or down by the exact same amount as if i had pressed the volume button

That's as much control as you get without rooting unfortunately.

it's really weird that google isn't allowing us to customize volume levels... iOS has had this feature for years
