So While trying to play Super Hexagon one day (super close to beating the last level) I noticed that I couldn't get out of the menu because, without touching anything, it was scrolling through the menu options as fast as possible. I tried unplugging my keyboard and plugging it back in, but that didn't help at all. At a much later date, I started up Assassin's Creed IV and the same thing was happening, but this time I knew that the 'phantom keystroke' I was getting was the up arrow, because I couldn't get past the top row of options on the main menu. Plugging in a controller for Assassin's Creed helped a little, but my character would still randomly look up, which made it very hard to get off of buildings. Also, steam validated all files for super hexagon and said it was okay.

I've considered just reinstalling all game s but I don't want to lose my progress on Super hexagon.

Yeah it's when the signal from the key gets repaeted or it's just stuck,in your case i would say it's stuck in some way since if it would be the signal it would stop with unplugging, maybe clean out your keyboard and check the key?

Also tapping it should be the qickest fix as the guy above said but if the key is stuck in a way or there is some dirt in it the problem will reappear.

I tried that, but it didn't work. The thing is, this has been happening for a while and I don't get these phanton key strokes in any other game.

the key doesn't feel stuck. I can feel the rubber dome depressing.

maybe the contact under the dome has gone lose or something like that?

its a mechanical keyboard there is no rubber dome's. it uses springs and mechanical switches. All about Mechanical keyboards (http://www.daskeyboard.com/blog/mechanical-keyboard-guide/).

Yeah i know about mechanical Keyboards, i have one from Cherry and a Blackwidow myself. But he was the one referring to rubber domes, so i just went with that as a fact and didn't look up the keyboard myself.

I'm Sorry.
